Hypnotherapy for
Anger
Feeling angry every so often is a normal part of life. It can be a result of feeling frustrated, confused or even under attack. But if you’re frequently experiencing feelings of anger and frustration, and you’re finding it hard to keep your feelings under control, you may find that both your work and home life are suffering.

Your anger may be showing in a number of ways:
-
You’re showing outward signs of aggression and violence, such as hitting or throwing
-
You’re internalising your aggression and turning against yourself, such as self-harming or denying yourself basic needs
-
You’re showing signs of passive aggression to others
Fight or flight
Anger can be a useful emotion that triggers a physical reaction in the body called 'fight or flight'. It’s created in the primitive area of our brain, and it normally happens when we’re feeling stressed or threatened. Adrenaline is pumped around the body by the Hypothalamus, which boosts our physical strength and makes us feel tense and ready to fight the threat or flee.

The problem is that fighting or running away isn't usually an appropriate action to take in our daily life. So instead, we learn to bottle it up, which can cause angry outbursts at inappropriate times. It may also make you feel angrier in general, leading you to react more aggressively in other situations.
This isn’t a happy way to live, so with Solution Focused Hypnotherapy for anger you can take steps to free yourself from these feelings.
How I can help
In our first session we’ll discuss the possible causes of your anger and the behaviours it’s causing. I’ll talk to you about how the mind works in relation to anger and the ways that it can be trained to act differently.

Then I’ll encourage you to visualise your future free from anger. What would it look like? How would your behaviour be different? How would you react differently in certain situations? And we’ll decide on the necessary steps to get you there.

As I then gently guide you into hypnosis, your mind will relax and absorb what we’ve discussed. It will become more open to positive suggestion – helping you to expedite positive behaviour changes.
